Hi everyone. New to the forum. I've been looking at a Honda Accord on Oaks Elite Motors and the price looks really good. Almost too good. Never bought from a repo auction before. Are they legit? A bit worried about the whole process, especially getting a clean title. Any experiences to share?

Welcome. I got my Silverado from them last year. Solid experience. The truck was exactly as shown in the pics on their site oakselitemotors.com. Don't worry about the title, they handled all the paperwork. The clear title arrived with the truck when it was delivered. Super smooth.

We bought a Sea Ray boat from them! Was a bit of a leap of faith but it paid off. Had a minor issue where the delivery was delayed by a day due to weather, but the driver was in constant contact. The boat itself was a steal. We'd use Oaks Elite Motors again.

@SailAway_Sue that's a common thing with freight shipping, not really the auction's fault. My experience has been great. Bought 2 cars and helped my brother get one. They are one of the more transparent repo auctions out there.

I was a skeptic too. I emailed them a ton of questions at office@oakselitemotors.com. It took them about a day to get back to me which made me a little nervous lol, but the person who replied was really detailed and patient. I won a CR-V for my daughter and she loves it. The condition was exactly as described.

Pro tip - if you're anxious just call them. I had a question about the bidding increments and called them at +1 419 517 4835. The rep was super helpful and walked me through it on the phone. Much faster than email if you're in a hurry.

Good for project cars too. Got a '17 WRX with some cosmetic damage listed. It was all clearly shown in the photos, no surprises. Perfect base for my build.

I'm a mechanic. My neighbour bought a Camry from Oaks Elite and asked me to give it a once-over when it arrived. I was impressed, honestly. The vehicle report on oakselitemotors.com was accurate. No hidden rust, no weird engine noises. Just needed new tires and an oil change.

Seconding the positive title experience. That's always my biggest fear with auctions. The best part was not having to chase down the title from a bank or anything. It was all handled by Oaks Elite Motors and the clear title was delivered safely with the vehicle. It's a huge peace of mind.

Just check the photos carefully. I noticed a small scratch on the bumper of the F-150 I bought that wasn't super obvious in the main photo, but you could see it if you zoomed in on the detailed shots. For the price I paid, I couldn't care less, but just advice to look closely.

We got our Class C motorhome through them. The website's pretty easy to use. Found what we wanted, bid, and won. The whole process was way less intimidating than I thought it would be.

They get some heavy-duty stuff too. Saw a Ram 3500 go for a great price a few weeks back. If my current rig wasn't running strong I would have been all over it. They seem to have a pretty quick turnover of inventory.

For those asking, the process is: you win the bid, you send the payment, they confirm it, then they dispatch the vehicle and paperwork for delivery. It's all tracked on your account on oakselitemotors.com. Pretty straightforward.

I agree with the others. I was nervous but it worked out great. The car arrived on a Wednesday instead of the Tuesday it was originally scheduled for, but the dispatch company called me ahead of time to let me know. Good communication.

Wow, thanks so much everyone for the detailed replies! This is incredibly helpful. You've definitely put my mind at ease about the title and the process in general. Especially appreciate the tip about calling vs. email. Going to put a bid on that Accord tonight. Thanks again!
